2. First Impression
The Canon PIXMA MP760, with its large breadbox like appearance, is a bit larger than most standard printers,
but is appropriate for a multi-function unit. The MP760 comes wrapped in plastic with orange tape
holding everything tight (see photo) - helping to insure a safe trip from warehouse - to retailer - to you. It is important to remove
all tape and plastic prior to using the MP760 - including the tape inside the front compartment and the rear paper tray unit.

When looking at the sleek, high-gloss front panel, you instantly know that this
isn't your every day multi-function printer. Large buttons that read "COPY," SCAN," "FILM," and "PHOTO"
are positioned from left to right, making it simple to print, scan, or copy from memory cards, pre-printed material,
35mm negatives or slides.
|
The Canon PIXMA MP760 offers two paper input trays. The bottom tray can hold up to 150 sheets of inkjet paper
and a rear media tray accepts up to another 150 sheets. Dual trays makes it very convenient to print photos without having
to remove your everyday inkjet paper. A large panel on the front of the printer opens to reveal the output
tray. Canon has designed this output tray "door" to help reduce dust build-up inside the printer. The door
even opens automatically when printing or copying - in case you forget to do it. |

 |
One of the best features on this multi-function printer, and one that helps to set it apart from others on the market, is
the built-in 8-in-1 card reader and large 2.5" color LCD display. Without connecting or having to "boot-up"
your PC, you now have the ability to view, edit, and print photos directly from your camera's memory card. You can also
connect any Pictbridge compatible camera directly to the USB port located on the front, just below the memory card slots.
The integrated memory slots also act as a card reader for
your computer as well. Just insert a card into the appropriate
memory slot, and you'll instantly be able to transfer images
to your PC. No longer will you have to connect your camera
to your computer every time you want to upload the images.
